The Foreign Investors Association (FIA) has launched today the first edition of the White Book which contains proposals for improving the investment climate in the country. <\/p>\n

The edition includes a general analysis of the investment climate, recommendations how to remove the barriers standing in the way of direct investments in country’s economy, simplification of state control and continuation of the regulatory reform with the aim of consolidating the open dialogue established with the authorities in the past year, Joachim Schreiber, the FIA chairman, told at the opening. “The implementation of these recommendations will enhance the investment climate and will make Moldova more attractive for investors,” Schreiber told. <\/p>\n

Minister of Economy and Commerce Valeriu Lazar specified that this book does not contain absolutely new ideas, but it is well-structured and suggests ways of resolving the problems existing in this sector. <\/p>\n

Members of the Foreign Investors Association said that the latest modifications to the White Book were made in August 2005. Since then the things have evolved and FIA will have to constantly renew this edition.
