\"\"On November 1, SA "Moldtelecom” will conclude the process of implementing the access to new codes and short numbers from the “1” numbering row envisaged by the new National Numbering Plan (NNP) in its fixed-line telephony networks from the country’s districts. <\/p>\n

According to the press service of the National Regulatory Agency in Telecommunications and Informatics (ANRTI), the “1” numbering row will replace the short numbers of 9X and 9XX format, used until recently by the national fixed-line telephony operator. <\/p>\n

From 1 to 31 October, the access to these services is ensured both through old short numbers of 9X and 9XX format, previously used in the country’s districts, and codes and new short numbers from the numbering row “1”. <\/p>\n

Thus, numbers 99 and 909, used until October 1 by SA "Moldtelecom” in Moldova’s districts for the information service, are replaced with a single one– 1188, number that is used for the same purposes in Chisinau municipality from February 2004. Numbers of customer support service 97 and 907 and those for telephone repair service 98 and 908 are replaced with the numbers 117 and, respectively, 119. Numbers 013 and 019 for interurban and international conversations made to order by means of operators and those for the telegram reception service 96 and 906 are replaced with 1688 and, respectively, 1699. The old numbers 900, 910 – 999, used for transport supply service and others will be substituted with those from the block 1400-1499. <\/p>\n

The first stage of this plan started on 1 November 2003, the second one – on 1 February 2004. The access to the codes and short numbers from the “1” numbering row was implemented in Chisinau in this stage. <\/p>\n
