Valeriu Mironescu, director general of the agroindustrial agency Moldova-Vin, said that the Moldovan companies export wines to over 35 countries of the world, but the main sale market is the Russian Federation which absorbs about 80 percent of the wine exports. Wines valued at 180 million dollars were exported to Russia in January-September this year, on the increase by 13 percent compared with the corresponding period last year. <\/p>\n

“Considerable supplies are sent to Ukraine, Belarus, Czech Republic, and Poland. Smaller quantities are exported to other CIS states, to the Baltic Countries, to the European Union, to Canada, China, Israel, Australia, Japan, and to US,” Mironescu specified. <\/p>\n

Moldova is the seventh country in the world according to the wine exports. It sells abroad 95 percent of the wine made in the country. <\/p>\n
