\"\"During October 2-3, 2005 MOLDCELL was visited by its shareholders – a delegation composed out of the representatives of the international companies: TeliaSonera, Fintur Holdings BVand Turkcell. <\/p>\n

The delegation included the following persons: <\/p>\n

– Mr. Anders Igel, President and Chief Executive Officer, TeliaSonera, <\/p>\n

– Mr. Kim Ignatius, Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer TeliaSonera, Turkcell Board Member, <\/p>\n

– Mr. Erdal Durukan, President and Chief Executive Officer Fintur Holdings BV, <\/p>\n

– Vice-Chairman of Turkcell Board, <\/p>\n

– Mr. Esko Rytkonen, Senior Vice-President, Responsible for Corporate International Functions TeliaSonera, <\/p>\n

– Mr. Tero Kivisaari, Chief Financial Officer Fintur Holdings BV. <\/p>\n

For the second time Moldova is visited by such an important delegation formed from the representatives of the most powerful and influential international telecommunication companies that are at the same time the shareholders of one of the biggest companies with foreign investments in Moldova – MOLDCELL. <\/p>\n

Being in Moldova on a work visit, the members of the delegation got acquainted with MOLDCELL activity and have met with the official authorities from the Republic of Moldova: with Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev and the Minister of Informational Development, Mr. Vladimir Molojen. <\/p>\n

The level of telecommunication sector development makes up an important index in the evaluation of a country. Today we can affirm that the telecommunication market in Moldova seen under this aspect has been raised to the European standards and the consumers of mobile telephony are benefiting from the technologically advanced products and services as well as the other consumers from the economically developed countries – Sweden, Finland, Denmark, etc. <\/p>\n

It is obvious, that this fact is a result at a large extent of MOLDCELL activity that is promoting a correct investment policy oriented to support the implementation of new technologies by promoting an efficient strategy of service elaboration. Speaking the language of MOLDCELL it is about the implementation of GPRS followed by EDGE technology and provision of MMS and MMI services offering high quality and speed. Thus, within the European integration politics promoted by the Republic of Moldova MOLDCELL GSM operator is successfully realizing the informational integration. <\/p>\n

At the meeting with MOLDCELL management team led by the General Manager Mr. Halim Ates the members of the delegation got acquainted with the activity of the company, highly appreciating the results that have been achieved. These results are the outcome of an efficient investment policy and company management which has generated a stable position of the company on the mobile telephony market of Moldova ensuring its status of the leader in the implementation of new technologies. <\/p>\n

During the presentation Mr. Halim Ates, the General Manager of MOLDCELL, who has been managing the company already for more than one year has emphasized that: “The indicators obtained by our company, the major being: <\/p>\n

– rapid penetration of EDGE technology on the territory of the Republic owing to which 30,26% of Moldovan population is already benefiting from its advantages, <\/p>\n

– territory coverage that reached 86% and population coverage of 88% <\/p>\n

– a portfolio of products and services based on advanced technologies, <\/p>\n

– as well as the number of subscribers which is over 350 thousands <\/p>\n

demonstrate that the strategy of MOLDCELL is efficient.” <\/p>\n

The visit of TeliaSonera andFintur Holdings BV management can be considered as a confirmation of the intention to invest in the future company development, intention to expand the activity in Moldova considering its market a very promising one. <\/p>\n

The results of this important visit inspires the belief that MOLDCELL will get all the necessary support for the continuation of its investment program in order to provide the consumers with new opportunities and advantages and fortify the leading position on the mobile telephony market of Moldova. <\/p>\n

During the visit the fact that MOLDCELL considers that the population of Moldova deserves to benefit from the most advanced products, services and technologies has been mentioned, it is due to this fact that the company will continue to promote the innovation approach on the market and will do its best in order to extend the portfolio of technologically advanced products and services. <\/p>\n
