\"\"OUTLINE: The Second International Investment Forum will take place in Chisinau under the Patronage of the Prime Minister of Moldova – Vasile TARLEV. The Forum will coincide with the Business Advisory Council for South East Europe that gathers a combination of 60 miltinational companies from the OECD and Stability Pact member countries. During the Forum, national and foreign key-note speakers will outline recent developments and changes in legislation as well as Moldova market trends and business opportunities. Foreign investors already present in Moldova will present their view regarding Moldova’s potential and provide some practical information about specifics of doing business in Moldova. The Forum programme includes site visits to major local production facilities. With the aim of falimiliarization the foreign particiants with the unique culture of Moldova the Forum foresee a cultural events programme. WHY MOLDOVA: Moldova has been experiencing steady economic growth for the fifth consecutive year. According to preliminary data, the GDP grew 7.3 percent in 2004 to reach Moldovan leu (MDL) 31,992 million (USD 2.6 billion). Moldova has a relatively open and liberal trade regime. It also offers excellent access to its surrounding markets through its network of free trade with a 300 million consumers market including CIS and South East Europe. Moldova has an established position in these markets; most consumers are aware of our reputation for quality and reliability. Production costs for most industries are highly competitive with other countries of the region, and we offer valuable human resources for your business. Today Moldovan companies still need partners and Foreign Direct Investments in order to update the technologies and access new markets. <\/p>\n
