\"\"The Government proposes to increase the basic incomes of the state budget for 2005 by 608.8 million lei. The expenditure provided for in the state budget for the current year is to be increased by 696 million lei. <\/p>\n

The Government has approved modifications to the Budget Law for 2005 for the reason that the basic incomes in the first semester exceeded the plans for the respective period. <\/p>\n

Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev mentioned that this is the first time when the state budget is overfulfilled at the middle of year by about 600 million lei, fact that enables to finance beforehand more than one measure planned for the next year. <\/p>\n

Also, the Government estimates that the incomes transferred to the budget by the National Bank of Moldova will rise by the end of the current year by about 117 million lei compared with the initially-approved sum. <\/p>\n

The largest part of additional expenses of 339.5 million lei is planned to be spent on capital investments. 31.5% of these will be used to built gasification objects and 15% social-cultural objects. <\/p>\n

Allocations for covering the salary increases for some categories of workers from the budgetary system operated in February currently will be increased by 98.5 million lei. About 17 million lei will be allocated additionally from the budget to carry out the Government Decision that envisages the increase of the maximum number of scholars in higher and secondary vocational education institutions, from 40% to 70%. As many as 10 million lei will be reserved in the state budget to fulfill the measures concerning the support of young teachers working in villages, and about 3 million lei – to increase the feeding norm for children from boarding schools. <\/p>\n

Also, according to the Premier, the Government plans to grant state subventions to the agricultural producers in order to attenuate the negative impact of the rise in the selling prices of oil products. The method of subsidization and the necessary sums are to be established during the next several days. <\/p>\n
