\"\"The Coalition for Rural Economic Development (CDER) seeks from central authorities to annul the restrictions on cereal export imposed by a Government Decision from 26 July 2004 that affected strongly several hundreds of thousands of producers from Moldova. <\/p>\n

CDER secretary, Mihai Godea told Wednesday the press that this campaign that will last for a month under the slogan “Don’t show us the back. Annul restrictions on cereal export” represents an address to the central authorities that are urged to take account of peasants’ problems. <\/p>\n

According to Godea, the company was structures in such a way as to involve the agricultural producers as well. “They will be encouraged to address their complaints directly to the decision makers. Through the agency of the networks of the organizations that are CDER members agricultural producers will be distributed postal cards, especially drawn up as part of the campaign, which they will be able to send in turn to the governors to seek personally annulment of restrictions on cereal export,” mentioned Godea. <\/p>\n

President of “AGROinform” Federation, Aurelia Bondari specified that the urgent annulment of the respective Government Decision will offer to the producers the possibility to export the surplus production. “This normative act’s abrogation will be qualified as a concrete step taken to remove the formal barriers that stay in front of exports and as an action that would attenuate the impact of the restrictions on the export of Moldovan products upon agricultural producers,” said Bondari. <\/p>\n

Concomitantly, CDER seeks for the payments to be made directly to the producers that will deliver wheat to complete the state reserves at prices set at the moment of payment. CDER requests from the state to withdraw its tutelage over the Universal Commodity Exchange of Moldova. <\/p>\n
