The Government will examine the possibility of creating a fund of subsidizing the branch of sugar beet production. <\/p>\n

This initiative was forwarded by Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev at a working meeting regarding the perspectives of developing sugar branch in Moldova. <\/p>\n

For this purpose the head of the Government ordered the Ministry of Finances together with the Ministry of Economy, Commerce and Agriculture and Food Industry to elaborate proposals regarding the creation, starting 2006, of a fund of subsidizing the plantations of sugar beet on the basis of principles of extending the plantations and increasing the quality of the production. <\/p>\n

According to Prime Minister, once with the extension of the sugar beet plantations, processing factories will be ensured with sufficient raw material, inclusively the relaunching of profile enterprises that do not function at present. <\/p>\n

Also, it was mentioned the opportunity of setting up a network of independent laboratories for testing the quality of the sugar beet. <\/p>\n
