The Parliament adopted on Thursday in first reading, modifications to the Law on customs duties, in order to adjust it to the provisions of the new Customs Code. Thus, the modifications envisage the increase in duty for customs procedures, which differ depending on the customs regime where the goods are placed. <\/p>\n

According to the president of the Commission for economic policy, budget and finance, Nicolae Bondarciuc the modifications will contribute to the reduction in expenses of economic agents that unfold the activity of processing and transformation. At the same time, the tax for customs procedures to the export of goods from the Republic of Moldova will decrease, thus contributing to the promotion of the export. <\/p>\n

According to the modifications, the tax for the re-export customs regime will be of 0.15% out of the sum of provided services, but not more than 100 Euros. For the export customs regime – 0.1% out of the goods’ value in the customs, but not more than 500 Euros, for the renunciation for state’s profit customs regime the tax will be of 0%, the tax for annihilation customs regime – 0.1% of the goods’ value, but not more than 400 Euros, and for the rest of the regimes – 0.4% and no more than 1.800 Euros. <\/p>\n
