The new owner of the largest textile enterprise “Tirotex” will become known on Saturday, June 18. The so-called minister of economy of Transdniestria convoked for tomorrow the meeting of the Commission for privatization of the state’s packet of shares (100%), aiming at selecting the most optimal investment offers to privatize this enterprise. <\/p>\n

According to Olvia-press, the supreme soviet of Transdniestria will examine urgently the project of the state program of privatisation in this region for 2005-2006. The committee for economy, budget and finance policy will recommend the session to adopt it in first reading. <\/p>\n

In the document were included both enterprises that were not privatized in the 2001-2004 program and more than 100 objects, majority being subordinated to the ministry of industry from the region. <\/p>\n

The largest enterprises included in the Privatization program are KVINT and SA “Tirotex”. In 2005-2006, Tiraspol plans to obtain as a result of the industrial enterprises’ privatization about one billion 374 million Transdniestrian rubles. <\/p>\n

In the last four years, 37 enterprises were privatized in Transdniestria and the profit was of almost 57mln USD. According to the results of the last year, 38mln USD were transferred in the Transdniestrian budget, due to the privatization. <\/p>\n

It should be mentioned that starting 1 January 2005, Law on privatization of enterprises from the left bank of the Dniester and Balti municipality came into force in Moldova. It annuls the results of privatization performed earlier in this region. The law also stipulates gratis privatization of the enterprises by their staff.
