The Parliament adopted Thursday the Law on ecological agriculture that regulates the social relations concerning the obtaining of ecological agroalimentary production, without using chemical substances, and sale of vegetal and animal products. <\/p>\n

President of the Commission for agriculture and food industry, Valeriu Cosarciuc communicated at Parliament’s plenary meeting that any economic agent that wants to be certified as producer of ecological agroalimentary production, regardless of the type of property, is obliged to register at the authority proficient in the field of ecological agroalimentary production and to accept the procedure of inspection and certification performed by the authorized certification and inspection organization. <\/p>\n

According to Cosarciuc, the food products subjected to the procedure of certification and inspection during the entire cycle of production, procession and sale will be applied the national mark of ecological agroalimentary production. The procedure of certification and inspection for animal products will be performed at all the stages of production, procession and sale. <\/p>\n

Ecological agroalimentary products and sowing and planting material will be attributed a sign\/number showing their status of ecological product. <\/p>\n
