Trade unions from the field of health claim from the country’s leadership “at least 5-7% of the Gross Domestic Product” for financing this field. <\/p>\n

Asked by REPORTER.MD, sources from the press service of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova (CTUM) mentioned that 2.9% of GDP were allotted in 2000 for health financing, 3% – in 2001, 2.7% – in 2002, 3% – in 2003 and 4% in 2004. <\/p>\n

Over 776m lei were accumulated in 2000-2004 as a result of providing paid services. 21% of them were used to stimulate work and remuneration. Yet, only 20% were used in this respect in 2004, instead of the required 50%,” mentioned Vasile Cioaric, press officer of CTUM. Concomitantly, the medical institutions supported financially-uncovered expenses, the services provided for uninsured persons being paid by the state in proportion of only 36%. <\/p>\n

Trade unionists also seek the full health insurance of all the categories of people, setting of prices for medical services at the level of real costs, increase of the average salary in health protection with its indexing in accordance with the rise in consumption prices, granting of allowances to young specialists that work in medico-sanitary and pharmaceutical units to the value of at least 3 average salaries per country etc.\/\/REPORTER.MD<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
