At the end of the visit to Moldova, the group of Romanian experts from the National Sanitary Veterinary Agency of Romania drew up a report on the results of the veterinary inspection of poultry-breeding enterprises.
Director of the State Enterprise for Research and Analysis “Avicola-Moldova” SA, Ion Bazgu told that this report will be presented to Romanian experts who will analyze the positive but also the negative aspects traced after monitoring a number of Moldovan enterprises to see if the egg export can be resumed. <\/p>\n

According to Bazgu, no concrete decision regarding the resumption of egg export to Romania was made yet and the Moldovan side is waiting for the conclusions of the National Sanitary Veterinary Agency of Romania. <\/p>\n

Romanian experts inspected the poultry-breeding enterprises: “Filian” from Tarnova village, Donduseni district, “Rascani”, “Vadul lui Voda” and SRL “Roso” from Floreni. At the same time, the Romanian specialists visited the fish processing enterprise “Free Fisheries” and the animal waste processing enterprise “Carvit” from Chisinau. <\/p>\n

At the beginning of March Romania ceased the egg export for the reason that Moldova wasn’t among the third-countries from which Romania imports farming products. <\/p>\n

In 2004 Moldova produced 725mln eggs, of which 60mln were exported to Romania. A production of over 800mln eggs is planned for 2005. It should be mentioned that from the beginning of March eggs have cheapened by about 30%.
