\"\"Foreign Affairs Minister of Moldova Andrey Stratan said at the press conference Thursday that the EU intends to increase the financing volume considerably in 2006 and 2007 within the framework of introduction of the signed document. <\/p>\n

The Minister said Moldova was the first CIS state to sign such a serious document with the EU that determines the strategic direction of the country’s foreign policy. He said agreements on some important problems among which the Transnistrian conflict settlement remains the most important had been reached during the Moldovan delegation’s visit to Brussels. <\/p>\n

Andrey Stratan said signing of the Declaration on Stability and Security suggested by President of Moldova in 2003 is expedient for the positive improvements in settlement of this problem. <\/p>\n
