They stood at USD 302.27 million on January 1, 2004, according to the news service. <\/p>\n<p>Interfax quoted a National Bank spokesman as saying that amid a significant amount of forex on offer on the domestic currency market from money transfers by Moldovans working abroad, the bank bought USD 277.1 million in 2004. <\/p>\n<p>The central bank forecasts a forex reserve increase of USD 200 million (roughly 30 percent) to over USD 600 million in 2005.
