The collector Petru Costin, together with the School and the University of the Academy of Sciences, was included in the Guinness Book of Records with an impressive collection of horseshoes. The record was approved for the most significant historical and cultural heritage – 3200 horseshoes from XIV-XX.<\/p>\n

The Certificate Guinness World, which attests the performance, was presented at the meeting of the Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development of the Academy of Sciences by Academy’s President, Gheorghe Duca.<\/p>\n

In May 2011, over one hundred of students of the Academy of Sciences’ Lyceum and University performed the administrative map of Moldova’s with the area of 64 square meters, consisting of 1900 collection coins. The map was enclosed in a giant horseshoe made of 3200 small collection horseshoes offered by Petru Costin.
