Today, last restrictions for Bulgarian and Romanian nationals on EU’s labor market were raised. The fact was perceived with concern in some countries. Bucharest and Sofia assure that fears are unfounded, francetvinfo.fr and AFP commented, quoted by Agerpress<\/a>. The last restrictions were lifted in nine countries (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands), seven years after the accession of Romania and Bulgaria to the European Union.<\/p>\n

\nRomanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta and Bulgarian officials regularly assure that there will be no wave of emigration starting from today.<\/p>\n

Many independent analysts in Romania and Bulgaria consider that one can not appreciate the exact number of people who will leave the two countries, but it is estimated that large waves of emigration have already taken place.<\/p>\n

However, in Great Britain, members of the Conservative Party put pressure until the last moment on Prime Minister David Cameron to delay the opening of the labor market, saying that "the wave of Romanian and Bulgarian immigrants will push social services”. But even the party leader, Grant Shapps, said that it is not possible to delay the decision.<\/p>\n

In Germany, the Conservative Bavarian Party, the ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel, opposed to the lifting of restrictions on labor market, showing that there is an increased risk to "defraud the social services". Government spokesman, Steffen Seibert replied that "free movement of persons is a chance for Germans and for Germany".
\nIn Spain, a country where there are already a million of Romanians and many Bulgarians, lifting restrictions on the labor market has sparked major controversy.
