According to AIM, Mr. Gurin did not respond to their request for two months now.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Amnesty International is deeply concerned about the attitude of the Attorney General, Mr. Corneliu Gurin, ignoring, for two months, Amnesty International Moldova request, to arrange a meeting to discuss further cooperation in the cooperation agreement between AIM and the Prosecutor General on 18 November 2010,&rdquo; AIM said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">AIM submitted a request in August to discuss the reform of the prosecution against torture, inhuman and degrading impunity. Their request was in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement signed on November 18, 2010.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Based on the &ldquo;Petition Law&rdquo; the respective bodies are obliged to examine the received complaints within 30 days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">&ldquo;Although two months have passed from the time of application, we have not received any response from the Prosecutor,&rdquo; AIM said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">As an international watchdog, Amnesty International seeks to promote and protect human rights.
