For more than five years now, the German Lutheran Church has been providing support for the Moldovan medical centers, as well as for the Moldovans in need.<\/p>\n

Representatives of the Humanitarian Organization for Eastern Europe, association affiliated to the German Lutheran Church, have visited several localities in Moldova, including hospitals, kindergartens, as well as a centre for mentally-challenged people.<\/p>\n

“Our association provides humanitarian assistance for hospitals and Moldovan children in need,” Christian Utpaetel, the team leader said. “We stayed six nights in Chisinau. We travelled to Edinet and visited the hospital for disabled people. Moreover, we travelled to Balti where we visited a kindergarten, a hospital and a summer camp. These institutions need help. However, the people here are very welcoming.”<\/p>\n

Horst Biemer, who is one of the association’s representatives, said that the medical institutions based in Moldova require assistance, while the hosting conditions are objectionable.<\/p>\n

“We visited the hospitals which we had helped in the previous years. The assistance encompassed beds, cookers, refrigerators and anything these institutions were in need of. We wanted to see what other issues these institutions face in order to know what other projects we should implement,” Horst Biemer said.<\/p>\n
