Over 42% of Moldovan high school students failed at least one graduation exam. The results were published today by the Ministry of Education. According to the Minister Maia Sandu, the preliminary statistics show that only four students nationwide got the maximum grade for all four graduation exams.<\/p>\n

The best results were registered in history, chemistry and Russian. Students who failed to pass any of the exams have the possibility to retake them in mid-July.<\/p>\n

The results seem to be the lowest in Moldova’s educational system history. This happens amid a harsh reform made by the Education Ministry this year. The students were monitored via cameras while taking their exams. The measure intended to prevent cheating among students.<\/p>\n
