More people in Moldova surf the internet on their cell phones, smart phones, or even on their personal computers. According to the data provided by the Agency of Technology and Electronic Communication, there were 43% (53.6 thousand) more users of internet services in 2012 than in 2011. The total number rose to 178.5 thousand users.<\/p>\n

The mobile services providers said that on average a mobile internet user would use over 36.87 MB per month, whereas the user-generated content amounts 8.8 GB per month.<\/p>\n

There is a steady increase in the number of new customers using the broadband connections. The data shows that 17.5% (62 thousand) more people got an internet connection at home, amounting 417.2 thousand in total.<\/p>\n

These trends have also increased the earnings of the internet providers by 30.8%, especially to those providing mobile internet. Broadband internet providers have experienced an increase in earnings by 19.2% in 2012 compared to a year before. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
