 A Cultural Centre of Moldova will be inaugurated in Padua at the initiative of the Moldovan Diaspora in Italy. The initiative was supported by the Government and the center will be opened at the earliest next year.<\/span><\/p>\n

During a cultural event in Padua, dedicated to winter holidays, the Head of the Office for Relations with Diaspora, Victor Lutenco announced that the Office has identified necessary resources for maintenance of premises, where a cultural center of Moldova could be opened. At the same time, he encouraged association leaders, and ordinary citizens to contribute to this project, so that the cultural centre to become operational already in 2013.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, it was agreed that the Office for Relations with Diaspora will support other initiatives of Padova Diaspora representatives, for example to organize folk dance lessons and a Moldovan hora each week.<\/span><\/p>\n

The President of the Association "Bastina", Alexandru Marcinschi said that the Confederation of United Associations from Diaspora – "CONFAUD" was created in 2012 in Padua in order to widely to promote Moldovan culture. The Confederation was joined by over 20 associations.
