Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Eugen Carpov promises that the government "will continue to support Moldovan schools in the Transnistrian region and will insist on ensuring the free movement of students and teachers, on supplying these schools with all necessary for studies".<\/span><\/p>\n

The official talked about this during a meeting with the directors of Moldovan schools in the Transnistrian region. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Education, Maia Sandu. During the meeting were discussed challenges which schools teaching in Latin script are facing.  <\/span>A key issue was the OSCE report on the situation of Moldovan schools in the Transnistrian region, in particular the recommendations made \u200b\u200bin this study.<\/span><\/p>\n

Logistical issues were also tackled during the meeting. In this context, Eugen Carpov said that during the period September 2011 – July 2012, education institutions in Transnistria, subordinated to the Ministry of Education, benefited from financial support of about two million lei (approximately 150 thousand US dollars) in the framework of the Program of activities for reintegration. <\/span><\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
