Moldova ranks 94 in the top of the most corrupt countries of the world. According to a report issued by Transparency International, the corruption level in Moldova is at the same level as the one in India, Greece, Mongolia and Senegal. They all scored 36 points out of 100. The Corruption Perceptions Index ranks 176 countries on a scale from 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (no corruption).<\/p>\n

Denmark, Finland and New Zeeland are the countries that stay on top of the ranking, scoring 90 points each, which means they are less corrupt. There is no country that is corrupt-free, according to the index.<\/p>\n

Germany scores 79 points being on the 13th position; the United States gained 73 points staying on the 19th place, while Russia is situated on the 133rd place, scoring only 28 points out of 100.<\/p>\n

“While no country has a perfect score, two-thirds of countries score below 50, indicating a serious corruption problem,” Transparency International said. “The Corruption Perceptions Index results demonstrate that there are still many societies and governments that need to give a much higher priority to this issue.”<\/p>\n

The international organization recommends the governments to include anti-corruption measures in all aspects of decision-making.<\/p>\n
