Master students from Moldova will have more possibilities to study an exchange semester in the European Union after the European Commission adopted a new support package for higher education in the European Neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Some 228 scholarships will be granted through ERASMUS Mundus program to students studying in Moldova, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries to attend Master courses in the EU universities. According to a press release, the funding will support 20 partnerships between universities from partner countries and the European Union. Roughly 2,560 exchanges of students and academic staff will be possible due to this program.<\/p>\n

“Investing in people is a key objective of the neighborhood policy. This is the reason why we have significantly increased the funding for our higher education programmes in the neighborhood during the last years,” EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy, Štefan Füle said.<\/p>\n

European Union allocated a budget of 74.2 million Euro for its Neighborhood region. The initiative comes after an EU Commission decision taken in April this year to increase the budget by 40 million Euro for 2012. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
