Democracy activists, practitioners, scholars, and journalists from around the world are invited by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to deepen their understanding of democracy and enhance their ability to promote democratic change in their community.<\/p>\n

NED support comes in a form of five-month fellowship. The federally-funded program called Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program is dedicated to international exchange, offering the possibility to do research and writing, as well as develops a professional global network of democracy advocates.<\/p>\n

Those who wish to apply for such fellowships have to focus their research project on social, political, legal and cultural sides of democratic development. They will be paid a monthly fellowship, travel assistance, health insurance and research support. The applicants are also expected to have working knowledge of English.<\/p>\n

The applications can be submitted by November 1, 2012 on http:\/\/fellowships.ned.org\/applications\/<\/a><\/p>\n
