An international person traffic network has been caught and broke down at the Romanian border. The network’s main goal was recruiting, guiding and transporting Arab and Moldovan citizens to Schengen states.<\/p>\n

According to the press office of the Romanian border police, the trafficked persons were being bought Romanian ID cards trying to illegally draw them out from Romania via Western border. After getting them outside Romania, the external segment was formed out of Arab citizens who were further coordinating the network: paying the migrants, organizing the transportation, departure and arriving points.<\/p>\n

The migrants were transported through Turkey and Bulgaria. After entering Romania, they were sent Austria and Italy via Hungary. The head of the Romanian trafficking network was earning 2,000 Euro for each migrant.<\/p>\n

Romanian border police have made five searches and have released 20 summonses. Eight Romanian citizens are being charged.<\/p>\n
