Tudor Panzari has his home from Causeni town demolished by the authorities. No house has been provided to him ever since. The man found an unusual way to protest. For more than a year he has been living in a tent established by him in front of the Moldovan Government. However, the man protested peacefully.<\/p>\n

The police officers evacuated and destroyed yesterday the tents installed in front of the Government headquarters. The initiative comes after a judicial decree of the Supreme Court of Justice which leads to the evacuation of all tents of the protesters from the front of the Government and forbidding similar forms of protest.<\/p>\n

A group of teenagers, members of Hyde Park NGO protested against the Court’s decision.<\/p>\n

“We came here to support the protesters. It is a solidarity act with those which have been barred from expressing their rights through protests,” said Ghenadie Brega, member of Hyde Park.<\/p>\n

Tudor Panzari is a veteran of the War on Nistru and he is asking for a house for him and his family in Causeni town.<\/p>\n

According to the lawyers, the Court’s decision was correct.<\/p>\n

“The Supreme Court of Justice’s decision to demolish the protesters’ tents is a legal and correct one; the protesters’ rights have not been violated. They are not prohibited from continuing their protests, but they have to find another way to protest, at least temporarily by respecting the current regulation,” said Maxim Belinschi, vice-chair of the International Executive Committee of the Human Rights Embassy of Moldova.<\/p>\n

“The right to protest, to have freedom of speech and freedom of peaceful gatherings are fundamental rights, but we should not forget that these rights aren’t absolute, but relative, because the right of every citizen ends there where other’s right begins,” added Mr. Belinschi.<\/p>\n

He also said that the citizens should have a morality and not turn the square from the front of the Government into a living space with rubbish and public toilets.
