Moldovan journalist Victoria Kriukova is blamed for the run out of the Russian blogger Eduard Baghirov. Before he escaped to Russia in October 2011, the blogger gave an exclusive interview to the journalist Kriukova, who is a reporter at Moldova’s Publika TV news channel.<\/p>\n

Eduard Baghirov was previously under house arrest in Moldova being accused for organizing massive protests during April 7 in 2009, events which turned violent. Several casualties were reported at that time. Tomorrow, April 7, Moldova will mark three years from the moment when thousands of protesters took to the streets of Chisinau to rally against the government.<\/p>\n

The General Prosecution Court accused the journalist as being abettor of Mr. Baghirov because she did not call the police immediately she met with him for the interview.<\/p>\n

“The journalist anyhow should not call the police and inform them about his sources. She is not obliged, this is her job. She is supposed to keep the anonymity of her source,” journalist Cornelia Cozonac said.<\/p>\n

The Russian blogger wrote a post on his blog in reaction to the accusations brought to the journalist.<\/p>\n

“Before my run out I called Kriukova and I told her she has no more than half an hour to come with a camera and a microphone in my favorite café “Penthaus” where I was enjoying my whisky,” writes Mr. Baghirov on his personal blog.<\/p>\n

The blogger adds that the reporter did not even presume his future actions. He continues by saying that Ms. Kriukova is a “perfect journalist.”<\/p>\n

According to him, he took the journalist into his car and invited her to have a journey in town. He took her cell phone off from her and removed its battery.<\/p>\n

The lawyers say the Prosecution Court has no reason to sue the journalist.<\/p>\n

Publika TV team says that Ms Kriukova did her job.<\/p>\n

“Our television, as other media outlets, did their job and reported on Baghirov’s case during his detention, as well as after he escaped,” writes Publika TV on their news website.<\/p>\n

Eduard Baghirov says the deputies should blame the Prosecution Court and the Security and Information Service of Moldova for his run out and not a journalist.<\/p>\n

“You, clowns from the stage, should blame the Prosecution Court and the Security and Information Service for my escape. My custody is irrelevant because they don’t have enough evidence,” said Mr. Baghirov on his blog.
