The national census of the Republic of Moldova is due to be organized in 2014. It will be held during April 1-14, 2014. The censors will collect data about the number of people which reside in Moldova and of those who work abroad, informs Arena.md.<\/p>\n

The bill is to be approved by the Government and later on by the Parliament. Moldovan authorities want to collect exact data about the population of the country, its territorial spread according to the demographic characteristics, national, socio-economical features and the level of living. Additionally, a statistical database regarding the number of households and the living conditions of the population will be created.<\/p>\n

Last general census in the Republic of Moldova was held in October 2004, meaning that the next one should be organized by 2014, according to the recommendations of the UN and EUROSTAT.
