By Valeriu Gonta \/ Moldova.org \/ — Around 20 people have gathered today in front of the Russian Embassy in Moldova’s capital, Chisinau, to demand the withdrawal of the Russian army from Moldova’s territory.<\/p>\n

The initiative came from Hyde Park foundation after yesterday’s case<\/a>, when a teenager was shot deadly in Pirita town. The event has been started on Facebook. The protestors who gathered around 1:00 PM (local time) waved messages such as „Russian Army Go Home!” „Stop the Russian Invasion”, „Rescuers? Peacekeepers? Criminals!”<\/p>\n

„An army deployed in Moldova for so long cannot intervene when civilians cross a bridge in their own country. Why was it necessary to use gunshots if the citizen was unarmed? We demand from authorities to clarify the incident, and from Moldovan statesmen to officially demand the withdrawal of the Russian army from our territory,” said Ghenadie Brega, one of organizers of the protest.<\/p>\n

John Onoje was among the protesters. He adjudged the lack of an official statement from the governance of the Republic of Moldova on Vadim Pisari’s case.<\/p>\n
