By Diana Ungureanu\/ Chisinau \/ Moldova.ORG\/ — If you have ever imagined how it would look a castle of a fairy-tale, then one of your imagination looks exactly as Neuschwanstein Castle, from Bavaria, in Germany.<\/p>\n

Neuschwanstein Castle is a 16th century Bavarian palace since the 19th century, built on a height located near Hohenschwagau and Fussen, somewhere in Southwest of Bavaria. The palace was built as a refuge for King Louis II and as homage to the great Wagner.<\/p>\n

According the world statistics, it is the most photographed castle in the world, although photography is prohibited inside the castle.<\/p>\n

Construction began on September 5, 1869, according to Christian Jank’s plans and the style chosen was a medieval one. Louis II came to the throne at the age of 18 years. Fascinated by the work of Richard Wagner and the great Germanic legends, living almost continuously between dream and reality, he wanted to build this palace as a refuge for himself. It is said that without Ludwing II, Wagner would not have obtained such remarkable successes, and Wagner Castle wouldn’t be built.<\/p>\n

Throne room, in the Byzantine style, was created as a room dedicated to the Holy Grail of Persifal. It was built in 1869-1886; only for the King’s bedroom, it was carved entirely of wood, and there have been working for 14 joiner master school for 4 and half years.<\/p>\n

The 15 rooms, open daily for the public, reveal a superb fancy work, details worked with the utmost care, and the works of Richard Wagner can be found, thematically, in murals in the palace. The most beautiful panorama of this wonderful Castle you can admire on the bridge of Mary (Marienbruecke), where there starts a cascade of 45 m.<\/p>\n

For his striking beauty it was nicknamed "the castle from fairy-tale". Over 1.3 million tourists visit this Castle annual.<\/p>\n

The castle is located in a natural environment as splendid as the architectural creation itself. Built on a high cliff in the Bavarians Alps, it gives the impression of a construction grew out of that rock, so well it merges with the surrounding nature.<\/p>\n
