The stone from Gura Galbena is a large rock which has a length of 5 meters and a width of 3 meters. Its presence is strange by the mere fact that it is the unique and lonely in this area and all that is mysterious has, of course, legends.The legends of the stone are more, some terrestrial, other cosmic.<\/p>\n

One of the legends, which, in a way, explains the appearance of stone tells about a meteorite that had fallen from the Cosmos. Another caption something more human, but also more reliable, says that the stone would be raised from the ground. In arguing this version and the village elder villagers, who say that the stone was lower in their youth, or because of the rain washing the soil surrounding the stone, which reveal a new layer or by the fact that the elders became more round shouldered and lessened, that it gives them the feeling that the stone has also increased.
\nA thorough scientific research has not been done and we have not a credible explanation. There remains each to choose one story that he would believe it.<\/p>\n

Gura Galbenei is a typical rural locality of Romanian area. The first historical documents, which would prove the existence and evolution of the village, date since the 17th century.
\nGura Galbenei is placed along the Cogalnic River and is bounded at the North by the village Bozieni and at the South by village Hartop.<\/p>\n

In addition to the mysterious stone, Gura Galbenei is an owner of large mound, which is called the Mound of the Council. The mound is located at the bottom of New Hartop. The name of the mound is linked to a page in the history of the village that on this hillock Tatar warlords would be gathered at a council, hence the name of Mound of the Council.<\/p>\n
