Poiana Marului is a town that delights you and relaxes with the fresh air, healthy environment, so well preserved, in despite to the flight of time.<\/p>\n<p>Located in an area of deciduous and coniferous forests at an altitude of 500 m, Poiana Marului is at a distance of 25 km from Otelu Rosu, and the best access is the road 68 DN Caransebes &ndash; Ha\u0163eg, through Zavoi County.<\/p>\n<p>In 1936 it was declared that Poiana Marului was a resort. Tourists are attracted to this place also because here is the start place of the following hiking trails: Mare&#8217;s Saddle to massifs Bloju and Baicu, Gura Apei, where is located the hydro-electric station River of Mills at 1727 m from Mare&#8217;s Saddle, Valley of Elder leading to Cuntu and \u0162arcu peaks, Valley of Scorila Stream which leads to the Little Mountain, Trout House, peak and top of Nedeea, also the monastery and lake Maru.<\/p>\n<p>Here, in Poiana Marului, you can enjoy the magic and mystery of forests, the freshness of the dawn, crystal waters and the balance of natural environment with a strong negative aerating.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to natural treasures, which surround each visitor that dares to arrive here, these lands, according to some legends, are also rich in treasures of material resources. The most interesting legend is about the treasure of Scorilo, Decebal&rsquo;s father. The shepherds say that somewhere in the center of Scorilo&rsquo;s Rock there is a cave where was hidden the treasure.<\/p>\n<p>But you can venture to seek for it only in a certain day, the day of summer solstice, on June 21.
