The agencies propose generous offers of visiting the European capitals during Christmas holidays. Perhaps you wonder, what can you do in winter in Prague? I suggest you some of the potential funs that could fill your day if you are in the Czech capital during the winter holidays.<\/p>\n

Firstly, in this period of time, there open their doors Christmas fairs, which attract visitors to their fairy-tale atmosphere. You can go there not necessarily to buy some souvenirs for Christmas, because the prices are a bit salty, but you can catch up a little holiday atmosphere that “haunts” there.<\/p>\n

If you go with your family, your children will enjoy very much of a trip to the Museum of Toys. It is a nice experience for children, who find here toys of various times, of over 150 years old: Chinese figurines, Victorian dolls, train, farm and car sets, robots, teddy bears, Chinese porcelain dolls and others. For girls, especially attractive will be the collection of Barbie dolls of different periods, since the early ’60.<\/p>\n

One of the possibilities to spend New Year in Prague is to choose a cruise on the Vltava River. Such an offer includes a night of music, dance and festive meals. The walking on the water opens to you a spectacular view over the city and on the touristic places it passes: Prague Castle, National Theatre and Vysehrad Fortress. At midnight, the boat passes under the Charles Bridge, where there are the greatest fireworks at the turn in a new year.<\/p>\n

The Prague State Opera organizes a Gala Concert in the New Year’s Eve. The prices start at 220 euros per person and reach 410 euros. The offer proposes a welcome cocktail, followed by the show “Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss. Between the acts, there is a dinner, with a buffet with dishes of various preparations, ranging from Italian specialties to French and Thai ones. After show, the party with dance and music continues until the morning.<\/p>\n

If you have several available free days and want to see the surroundings, you can visit Karlovy Vary. It is the largest and most famous spa resort in Czech Republic, founded in the mid-XIV century. Besides the curative properties of these waters, the city has made a tradition of manufacturing products of porcelain and crystal.<\/p>\n

Prague continues to be what it has been always, one of the most beautiful European capitals and its medieval buildings in the light of Christmas decorations have a special charm.
