Borsec is the resort that attracts tourists both with the quality of natural carbonated waters and by the picturesque land.<\/p>\n

Borsec is a city situated in the North-East part of Romania (Harghita County), located in the depression Borsec, surrounded by mountains Bistrita, Calimani, Ceahlau and Giurgeu from all sides.<\/p>\n

Sheltered from bitter winds by the chain of mountains, covered by a coat of pine forests, Borsec is an old resort, known since 1804 for its waters rich in calcium and magnesium content.<\/p>\n

The therapeutic capacity of mineral spring from Borsec was known since the second half of XVI century. The curative effects of these waters were on the international plan at various fairs and competitions such as Vienna International Fair (1873), it took the silver medal and a diploma of honor at the Berlin International Fair (1876), the Exhibition in Paris (1878). <\/p>\n

Borsec Resort is recommended for treatment of cardiovascular affections, endocrinological, digestive, dermatological, metabolic and nutrition diseases. The resort offers installations for hot baths in the tub or pools with mineral carbonate water.<\/p>\n

In Borsec there are over 15 sparkling natural mineral water springs, with almost the same chemical composition, invariable over the time and with a variable flow. The most important as quantity and flow are the springs 1 and 2.<\/p>\n

The resort offers for tourists various ways of rest and relaxation, such as trips made to the sightseeing places (which are numerous) from the area, hiking, winter skiing. So you can combine a treatment of the diseases and a dream stay at Borsec Resort.<\/p>\n

The distance from Chisinau to Borsec is 346 km.
