The apparition of the resort is connected by the name of two political personalities of XIX century, I. C. Bratianu – a former Prime Minister of Romania and the General N. Popescu Zorileanu founded this resort based on the treatment of rheumatic and respiratory affections.<\/p>\n

The resort Gorova Baths is placed in a Subcarpatian depression, surrounded by hills covered with forests of beech, oak and pine, at an altitude of 360-380 meters.<\/p>\n

It is a resort of a national importance, which imposes itself by the presence of springs with mineral water rich in chlorine, sodium, iodine, bromine, sulfur for external treatment and ones rich in magnesium, calcium, some sulfur for internal cures. <\/p>\n

Gorova is the resort where are available waters with a high concentration of iodine and bromine, some of the most important in Europe, the iodine and bromine from this place being of an organic origin.<\/p>\n

This resort offers services of packing in sapropelic mud, which have special treatment features of recovery.
\nFor those who are interested of the history and religion, surroundings of Gorova Resort will be a real oasis, in the zone being a lot of historical and art monuments (over 300).<\/p>\n

Only at 6 km of resort there is located Gorova Monastery, which was started by Vlad the Devil, in XV century. County Valcea is rich in places of worship and splendid monasteries, arranged in picturesque landscapes, and the trips organized to visit them will bring you only satisfaction both spiritual and visual.<\/p>\n

The access in the town is easy and the accommodation can be found for every desire and pocket.<\/p>\n

The treatment of the body affections in a pleasant and favorable environment is benefic and the combination of with the treatment of the soul, at one of the monasteries, is necessary.<\/p>\n
