From the point of view of curative potential of the springs from Spa Resort “Olanesti Baths”, these mineral waters are considered really “of gold”, being equalized and even surpassing in mineral composition those from French spa resorts.
\nOlanesti Baths is a locality relatively new in Valcea region, Romania, and it well-known both locally and nationally for the quality of its mineral springs. The first documentary attestation of these waters was found in a charter, which dates since 1760 and are named also “healing waters”. The first analysis of the water composition was made in 1830, when it was revealed the presence of the iodine.<\/p>\n

The official resort apparition year is considered 1873, in that year the mineral waters of Olanesti Baths were presented at several international exhibitions, where it earned the golden medals for its composition and quality.<\/p>\n

The resort Olanesti Baths is one of the few in Romania that includes harmoniously the two natural cure factors: the climatic and the hydromineral ones. It is the first resort in Romania with such a great number of springs, with their daily flow and with such a diversity of chemical composition. In the resort there are over 35 hydromineral sources, not only as natural springs, but also as a result of drilling and mining works (wells, galleries).<\/p>\n

In 1910, the mineral waters from Olanesti Baths were grouped by their composition in a following way: 14 iodine springs, 6 chlorinated sodium and sulfur springs, 4 springs with diuretic water, 1 bicarbonate spring, with abundant gas emissions, 2 purgative springs, 2 ferruginous springs and 2 springs with a mixed composition. <\/p>\n

These waters treat the following disorders: digestive, chronic liver, renal and urinary, metabolic and nutritional, respiratory, cardiovascular etc.<\/p>\n

The resort has all the optimal conditions to practice different forms of tourism: spa, sport, monastic (with a presence of a lot of monasteries in the ares), mountain, relaxing. Don’t hesitate to visit Olanesti Baths.<\/p>\n
