Another story tells that Decebal&rsquo;s daughter, Dochia, sheltered of the Roman troops on the massif Ceahlau and prayed long time to Zamolxis to save her from the Roman wrath and became a stone block. Dochia Rock even today guards the mountain, being considered by some experts as a creation of human hands.<\/p>\n<p>As in ancient times, today the massif Ceahlau is considered holy, on the mountain being built the first Christian altars. The large number of the hermitages, monasteries and churches built on the mountain raised it to the second rank after the mountain Athos in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>There are two optical phenomena that occur every year on massif Ceahlau and that increase its degree of mysticism. In the first decade of August, at the sunrise, the shadows of Toaca Peak and Piatra Ciobanului (Shepherd Stone) Peak create a huge natural hologram with the shape of a perfect pyramid. This phenomenon lasts for an hour and a half. On 6th and 7th of August is the highest probability to form the shadow, named &ldquo;the Shadow of the Pyramid&rdquo;. Another optical phenomenon takes place in the same period of the year and also at sunrise, directly above the peak.<\/p>\n<p>Peak Toaca is a pillar of an intense and strange brightness, named since the ancient times the &ldquo;Way of Heaven&rdquo;. The researchers think that these optical phenomena result from the fact that through Ceahlau, exactly through the peak Toaca crosses one of the energetic axes of the Earth. This peak is itself a mystery, having a form of a pyramid with a square basis, this shape being met rarely in nature.<\/p>\n<p>The locals, witnesses to the mysterious appearance of the lights, believe that the massif Ceahlau is the favorite place of the aliens in their trips to the Earth.<\/p>\n<p>If it is a location preferred for visits by aliens, how it can be not preferred by the humans, too?
