By Diana Ungureanu\/ Chisinau \/ Moldova.ORG\/ — The largest building in Europe, National House, now the Parliament Palace from Bucharest, is a home for many ghosts, according to several workers in the building. But the situation was not always so. The ghosts have begun to appear on the corridors of the palace in 2001.<\/p>\n

According to some people, there are twelve ghosts that appear, but other say that they would be more. Four of them were well defined and even have names. It is known their stories, rather said how they died. Just one thing connect the stories of these ghosts, the fact that they belong to people who died in strange or violent circumstances within the perimeter of the Parliament Palace.<\/p>\n

Although the staff working in the Parliament Palace, from the secretary to the servant, has no right to disclose what happens in this building, the strangeness of these stories and the enigmatic apparitions could pass the thick concrete walls, but of course anonymously. <\/p>\n

The most sympathetic ghost is that of the boyar Giovanni, at least thus he introduced himself to those who pretend that he spoke with them. He is dressed in a velvet mantle of XVIII century and has been killed in the mansion he owned and which was on the place of the today palace building. He appears at banquets which are given in the palace and that extend past midnight.<\/p>\n

Anca is a 20 years old girl, who appears only to uniformed staff, asking them where she is and also asking for help. The girl had been kidnapped by some workers since the years of building construction, kept in an iron shack and raped for several days. She managed to escape, but fell into a pit with iron concrete stakes. Nobody saw the dead girl there, and over her was poured concrete.<\/p>\n

Also there appear some workers in overalls, who died presumably in different accidents and strange circumstances at the palace construction. <\/p>\n

The Child is a special ghost, who doesn’t speak with anybody and is always very angry. His history is unknown.
\nWe also can list a group of “military-fans”, who play football on the ground in front of the entrance to the Legislative Council.<\/p>\n

All apparitions are especially at night, except some which are daytime. <\/p>\n

I don’t know if there really are ghosts in the Parliament Palace, because I haven’t seen them personally. But what I can say certainly is that the building of Parliament Palace from Bucharest is the largest and one of the most beautiful buildings in Europe and at least for this it deserves to be visited.<\/p>\n

The distance from Chisinau to Bucharest is 446 km.
