And those who will dare to cross, to be cursed and all the evil to come upon them, such as: poverty, slouch and other kind of punishments, and once again those who will keep this decision, to have God and our humility blessing and to come on them all the blessed good.” – St. Calinic. With such words are greeted all those who want to visit the monastery Frasinei from Valcea region, and from the local and monks’ words, the curse really works, as a witness being the various stories of those with whom this even happened.<\/p>\n

St. Calinic himself canceled a curse of a shepherd girl who stepped on the territory of the monastery while pasturing sheep, getting ill of epilepsy.<\/p>\n

The beginning of the monastery Frasinei foundation have origins since 1710, when on these lands came two monks, Hilarion and Stephen, living without approval in a wooden chapel where they prayed. A new wave in the development of the monastery was raised in 1859, when begun the construction of the monastery on the order of the Bishop of Ramnic, St. Calinic.<\/p>\n

Such a broken of civilization place, between the mountains, in a forest of secular ash trees, the monastery Frasinei is the only which respects the order of the monasteries from Athos Mountain: not to eat meat, no women and night spiritual jobs allowed.<\/p>\n

At the Frasinei Monastery, there come frequently people who get incurable sick, disabled or even possessed b devil persons, hoping that the peace of the monastery, the gentleness and grace of the monks to make them feel better. About the miracles performed by the monks of Frasinei was heard even in the far China, from where often come pilgrims. <\/p>\n

At the Frasinei you can learn to break from the world, a rebirth of the hope in the next day, a comfort and a revival of spiritual power. If you want something like this, you have to know that the distance from Chisinau to Frasinei Monastery is 651 km.
