This thing is not condemned, but we should not forget about the splendid places that are so close to us. I am pleased to present you a natural reservation of an unique beauty – the Red Ravine.<\/p>\n

The Red Ravine is a geological reservation positioned on Secase’s Plateau and it covers an area of 10 ha. In more than 60 million years, the water carved the reddish soil, rich in red clay and shale, creating a spectacular and unique landscape in Romania. As a result of water erosion, towers, pyramids and walls of a height of 80-100 m guard the Sebes city, which is at a distance of 3km, of every danger.<\/p>\n

The water with its amazing power created this stunning natural monument and also the world’s largest caves, digging in the ground on this territory and reaching sizes of 25 m of depth and 4,5 m bump.<\/p>\n

The magnificence of the landscape is compared with the Grand Canyon from USA. Sharp towers which break the sky and deep ravines, and which outline and amplify the beauty of the columns, determined the enrollment of these natural reservations among the most visited tourist attractions in Romania. In 1950, the reservation was declared a natural monument for its beauty and uniqueness.<\/p>\n

At sunset, the sunlight falls perfectly over the red walls, offering to travelers a lot of pleasure and exceptional images.
\nYou can stop in the night in a tent to admire the splendid surroundings of the landscape at the moonlight or you may accommodate in the city Sebes, which offers both hotels of different levels of comfort and touristic places of interest (Lutheran Cathedral).<\/p>\n

In order to complete your personal portfolio of original and spectacular memories, I recommend you to stop, even for an hour, at the foothill of the reddish grandeur near the Sebes.<\/p>\n

The distance from Chisinau to the Red Ravine is about 590 km.
