I am delighted to present you a mountain range in Romania, a popular and unique destination from the territory of Romania – Western Mountains. Located on the West side of the country, Western Mountains have not such a high peaks as mountains Fagaras or King’s Stone (Piatra Craiului), but they unfold unsuspected beauty of different nature for tourists.<\/p>\n

Only this mountain range offers you a splendid landscape, where appeased low lines of the lands blends harmoniously with the verticality of the rocks, only here you can meet a high number of caves (about 7000) and natural reservations and only in Western Mountains the connection between man and nature is so close, that it cannot be ever broken.<\/p>\n

The symphony in which man lives with the nature from this land is envied and must be followed. Moti, local people, are famous for the wooden household objects that they manufacture and sell throughout the country.
\nImagine a cool spring morning, the silence and the melancholy of the valleys is disturbed only by the sound of the hooves and the lowing of the herds of cows, wich are skillfully directed by the locals, climb the mountain to descend it late in Autumn. What could be more peaceful and beautiful than this transhumance, when they live their lives, no matter of of the currency exchange rate.<\/p>\n

Caves have their leading place in this region, it is considered the province with the highest number of the karstic phenomena (caves, waterfalls, gorges, sinkholes). If you come in this region, I can recommend you with a great plesure three caves, which you have no right to overlook:<\/p>\n

Scartisoara Cave – the place where you can really cool, temperature inside the cave falling to 0oC. It is the largest ice cave in Romania.<\/p>\n

Bear’s Cave – here temperature drops to 10oC. It is an enough large cave and it has a large network of galleries adorned beautifully with stalagmites and stalactites.<\/p>\n

Ford of Cris Cave – a cmpletely electrified cave, where lovers of mistery have the permission to travel alone, without a guide.<\/p>\n

Here you can find accommodation at 3* or 4* hotels, but I would recommend you to stop at locals, if you want to taste even a little of the delight of their life without worries. And here I could suggest you villages Arieseni, Albac or Garda.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
