Over 44 per cent of Moldovans are dissatisfied with the situation in the country, while 41 per cent believe that the country has a good development path, according to an opinion poll carried out at the initiative of the Viitorul Institute for Development and Social Initiatives.<\/p>\n

About 46 per cent of Moldovans said their economic situation is the same as a year ago, whereas 12 per cent said they have less money. Only 1.1 per cent of the respondents were very content with Moldova’s economic situation, while 33 per cent were not very satisfied. As many as 34 per cent of Moldovans are discontent with the living standards, whereas 17 per cent are satisfied.<\/p>\n

Over 36 per cent of Moldovans reckon that their living standards will remain the same in the year to come, while 29 per cent believe that they will improve.<\/p>\n

Moreover, 22 per cent of respondents said that the living conditions of people in their settlements are worse that in 2010, whereas 48 per cent said that they are the same.<\/p>\n

Answering a question about fear, 86 per cent of Moldovans said that they are afraid of diseases. About 86 per are concerned about the increase in prices, while 84 per cent about the future of their children. As many as 72 per cent of the respondents fear war, delinquency and criminality, whereas 62 per cent political instability.<\/p>\n

The opinion poll was carried out by the IMAS Marketing And Survey Institute at the initiative of the Viitorul Institute for Development and Social Initiatives.
