Over 700 houses for the flood victims from the villages of Cotul Morii, Nemteni, Obileni and Sarateni, Hincesti district, central Moldova, will be built with construction materials provided by the Romanian government.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Vlad Filat made a statement to this effect today. He visited the future construction site meat for houses for the flood victims from Cotul Morii. The new site is placed 3 km far from the Chisinau-Leuseni highway.<\/p>\n

Romania will make available the aid within an agreement on non-refundable financial assistance, which provides for the allocation of 100 million in equal installments during four years.<\/p>\n

The head of the Hincesti district, Anatolie Chetraru, said that 12 ares will be distributed to each family. The dwellings will have from one to four rooms, depending on how many members each family has, as well as on the surface of the houses owned by the villagers before the floods.<\/p>\n

The prime minister said that the flood victims will be supplied with at least one arranged room and kitchen till the beginning of the cold season, and the rest of the works will be subsequently completed. Cotul Morii will become a model populated area and will be provided with the necessary infrastructure, Filat said.<\/p>\n

The prime minister demanded that the exact number of houses which are to be constructed and their type should be presented in the days to come.
