"The demographic situation is one of the most acute in Moldova but in order to improve the situation, it is necessary to take a number of urgent measures, including the promotion of the National strategy in the field of the national security, fulfillment of the Action Plan on the Employment of Labor Force, control of migration processes", Deputy Prime Minister Ion Negrei said, who was Chairman at a sitting of the National Commission on the Population and Development.<\/p>\n

According to the governmental press service, the Cabinet of Ministers intends to set up the National Center on Demography for facilitating the solution of problems in this field.<\/p>\n

Country Director of the UN Population Fund for Moldova Francois Farah remarked that his organization will support the partnership with the Moldovan Government in promoting demographic policies.<\/p>\n

Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family Valentina Buliga presented the priorities in the demographic security of the Republic of Moldova. This document is subject to the approval by the Government and its objective is the cessation of the demographic decay in Moldova.<\/p>\n

"The strategy is designed for 15 years. It will cover an entire set of economic, social and cultural measures, which will in the final end improve the demographic situation and will improve the population’s life quality", Valentina Buliga stressed.<\/p>\n

She added that the strategy envisages taking concrete measures, for example, providing favorable conditions for the education and care for a child; working out policies for protecting the family, in particular, young family with children.<\/p>\n

The Government also planned actions aimed at providing access to health protection services, rise of life expectancy, promotion of the active ageing principle, migration reduction, harmonizing of the education system with the demographic development of the labor market, increase in the number of jobs.<\/p>\n

For the natural population growth the birth rate must constituted 2.1 babies per one woman. According to the statistic data, the birth rate in Moldova accounts for 1.2-1.3 babies per woman.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
