Moldovans living along the border with Romania will be able to enter the neighbouring state without visas in the near future. At the same time, all citizens of Moldova will have the opportunity to travel freely to the European Union from the end of 2012. Statements to this effect were made by premier-designate Vlad Filat in the "In Depth" programme broadcast by ProTV-Chisinau on Monday night.<\/p>\n

"We will sign a convention on small border traffic immediately in order to be able to travel freely to Romania," said Filat.<\/p>\n

Asked when will we be able to travel to the EU without visas, Filat said: "At the end of 2012."<\/p>\n

During the interview, Filat promises that his government will pay pensions and salaries in due time, make reforms and restore relations with international financial structures.<\/p>\n

Filat also said that his first visit abroad will be to Brussels. "It is also important to visit Berlin and Bucharest, as well as Kiev," the future prime minister said.
