After the preventive assessment of the costs, the renovation of the parliamentary and presidential buildings, devastated on April 7, are estimated at over 300 million lei (27.2 million dollars). It was said by Construction and Territory Development Minister Vladimir Baldovici at a press conference headed by the Moldovan president, within the context of renovating the buildings of the presidential administration and the parliament.<\/p>\n

Vladimir Baldovici has said that the sum of 300 million lei does not include the furniture and equipment damaged, according to the presidential press service.<\/p>\n

President Vladimir Voronin has said that the consequences of the vandalism acts will be liquidated on the account of the financial resources planned in the state budget for the necessities of the educational institutions, the representatives of which participated in the 7 April actions in the centre of the Moldovan capital.<\/p>\n

Thus, in line with the information presented by the law authorities, the Finance Ministry will re-direct the financial means for the realization of the renovation works.<\/p>\n

In the context, the head of state mentioned the necessity of urgently starting the renovation of the presidency and parliament.<\/p>\n

At the meeting, they also tackled the subject of the capital renovation of the of the legislative edifice, of the canteen, of the basement, and of the first two floors, as well as the arrangement works of the adjacent territory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
