Given the symbolic connotation of the date 08.08.08, 59 couples decided to tie the knot at a common ceremony held in the square of the National Opera House in Chisinau. <\/p>\n

The ceremony was led by the showman Andrei Porubin, whose daughter Sanda Porubin was among the brides. <\/p>\n

The marriage certificates were handed over by Prime Minister Zinaida Greceanyi, who also offered them presents. The marriage ceremony ended with laying of flowers to the monument to Stephan the Great. <\/p>\n
