Policemen hindered a number of Chisinau residents from attending the August 1 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) for the reason that they did not have identification documents with them. <\/p>\n

Though the given persons put their names on the list, as required by the new norms instituted by the CMC chairman Eduard Musuc, they were denied access. <\/p>\n

The people say that the police intentionally barred their access so that they could not witness the approval of decisions that favor the CMC chairman Eduard Musuc and are to their detriment. <\/p>\n

According to Dina Stroiu, one of the persons that wanted to attend the meeting, said that the CMC on Friday was to take a decision regarding an illegal apartment building built on Alba-Iulia Street by a commercial organization headed by the father of the CMC chairman, Ion Musuc. <\/p>\n

Eduard Musuc accused the Liberal Party of staging the incident, denying having personal interests in the given case. <\/p>\n
